We are KristinaEco

Our goal is to develop the KristinaEco Living Lab, an environment where companies can grow and develop their products and operations. We are shaping the Kristinestad region into Finland’s first circular bioeconomy valley.

KristinaEco is Kristinestad’s own name for the initiatives, solutions, and collaborations that lead toward a sustainable future based on the circular bioeconomy. Under this name, we bring together actions in the fields of the green transition, industrial development, business support, and competence building – with an emphasis on ecological, economic, and social sustainability.

The idea for the name KristinaEco emerged in connection with the Circular Bioeconomy in Kristinestad project, where we worked together with local and regional stakeholders to highlight the opportunities of bioeconomy and circular economy. The name was chosen as a way to make this work visible also beyond the project – as a unifying concept that can live, evolve, and adapt with new initiatives.

KristinaEco is not a single project – it is a way of thinking, collaborating, and communicating our shared will to build a sustainable future for Kristinestad.
