The bio-cycle economy produces good cover materials

By covering the excavated waste area with a layer of biochar and other by-products, erosion of the cover is reduced and the plants thrive better. A project by the Natural Resources Institute of Finland (Luke) and the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), ‘Rounds to Bio-Cover’, has shown promising results in using local bio-cycle by-streams to landscape northern mine waste sites.
