Recycled fertilisers on the market are equivalent in performance to mineral fertilisers and their use does not pose any risks to food safety or human health. According to the international LEX4BIO project coordinated by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke), recycled fertilisers can improve Europe’s fertiliser self-sufficiency and food security.
